October 4-6, 2019 The Guild will feature a Reader's Theatre production of Arthur Miller's "The Crucible," directed by Tevin Brown. Set in Massachusetts during the 1692 Salem Witch Trials, the story captures a time when paranoia, hysteria and deceit gripped the Puritan towns of New England. Now considered modern classic theater, Miller’s play was written during the “Red Scare,” using the witch trials as a metaphor for the “witch hunts” for communists in America. Miller wrote
