Updates from the Theatre Guild

The Vero Beach Theatre Guild is very grateful for the community support realized at its first annual fundraiser headlined by the Riptide Rock & Roll band and for our committed patrons over the years that have responded to our recent “Ask Letter”.

In addition to the financial support realized from the fundraiser and our letter, the Executive Committee of the Theatre Guild has adopted further fiscal measures to ensure the continued success of the VBTG.

We have deemed it best to eliminate the position of Artistic Director.  VBTG has been so fortunate to have had the benefit of Jon Putzke’s ideas, energy, and work at the Theatre Guild. We thank him for his many years of service to VBTG and wish him well.

Further cost-cutting has been pinpointed and we will continue to look for areas of cost reduction without jeopardizing our mission - to make great theatre and the arts accessible to our community.

We look forward to completing this fiscal year’s shows of Visiting Mr. Green, The Boy from Oz, and ending our 65th season with Murder on the Nile in May 2023. The Board is focused on providing more musicals next season beginning with Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat in July 2023, the Addams Family the Musical, a Holiday Music Revue, Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5, and other musical tribute bands throughout the year.

As we enter the 66th season, we want to thank the community for their continued support of the Vero Beach Theatre Guild during these dynamic times.  We look forward to having a great season with you.

- The President and the Board
