Vero Beach Theatre Guild Welcomes New Set Design Team
The Guild welcomes two new talented individuals who have already made a splash with this season’s opener “The Dixie Swim Club.”
Set Designer, Michael Naffziger is a Tony nominated theatre educator and currently the Theatre Director for the award-winning theatre program at Indian River Charter High School – Schumann School for the Visual and Performing Arts. Prior to moving to Vero Beach, Michael was the owner of the D Gallery Theatre in Los Angeles, the Resident Director at The Lewis Family Playhouse and toured with Redlands Civic Light Opera. In addition to his productions at the Charter High School and the Theatre Guild, his work and designs have been produced in Tampa at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts, the TECO Theatre, and the Tampa Theatre. Michael is the founder and director of The Actors Academy and specializes in the use of acting technique to discover honesty in the art. Michael resides in Vero Beach with his wife Lindsay and his daughter, Alyzsa, and his son, Jagger.
Scenic Coordinator, Jeff Hall has designed over 120 productions for theatrical stages and television. Associated with Matt Davenport Productions since 1990, Jeff developed shows for national tours, theme parks, resident theatres and award music showcases. As an Art Director, he designed sets for The Nashville Network, MTV, CMT and CBS. Jeff has also created premier theatrical sets with Gaylord Entertainment for Opryland US, Fiesta Texas at San Antonio’s Busch Gardens, Dollywood and others. Jeff relocated to Vero Beach with his wife Patti. His primary focus for the theatre is to ensure that the production’s scenic designs are translated efficiently and effectively from concept to the stage.
