It is our mission to advise and assist veterans, their dependents and survivors, in the preparation and filing of claims for service connected disability compensation, non-service connected disability compensation, death pension and accrued benefits, veteran's life insurance and other claims for benefits which they may be entitled to under federal or state statutes. To strive to enhance the quality of life of Indian River County veterans through the procurement of available health care from the V.A. Medical Center, West Palm Beach as well as the V.A. Outpatient Clinics in Ft. Pierce, Vero Beach and Viera, Florida. To assist veterans in obtaining copies of military discharge documents, service medical records and V.A. claims files. To assist veterans in obtaining transportation to the V.A. Medical Center, West Palm Beach, Florida through the utilization of the veterans council transportation service which provides daily transportation to that medical facility. To assist veterans, their dependents and survivors of Indian River County in any way possible and to preserve and improve the quality of their lives by assisting them in the obtaining of all available benefits.
